Liquefied Natural Gas (LNG)

LNG is predominantly methane (CH4), with very small amounts of other hydrocarbons like ethane.  LNG is produced by cooling natural gas to extremely low, cryogenic temperatures (approximately -162°C or -260°F). This process removes impurities and liquefies the methane.
